Look What’s Made a Reappearance!
We are delighted to announce that we are working again on our Water Vole Traps. I know we said it was a labour of love last time but we are always happy when we are working on a project.
Last Time…
Our TrapMan Team worked exceptionally hard last time to ensure our Water Vole Traps were made to a specific standard following licencing guidelines and we are at it again this time. I must admit it’s a little easier this time having a TrapMan design to work from but that doesn’t mean the workload is any lighter. Our team will have to hand clip each trap, with a treadle plate, specially designed door and small covered harbourage. The outcome is what we have to focus on at the moment.
What We Use
Because of the small mesh size of the traps and delicate nature of these animals we decided to use our smallest Jclips for these traps. These close to 4mm inside diameter a perfect wrap around for secure mesh fastening. They can be quite fiddly to work with at first but you soon get into a rhythm with clipping them. We felt they would be best to use given the slow nature of these animals our Jclips, on the specially designed door, allow for a slow and safe capture, avoiding injury to these protected animals. Did we mention that we make our small Jclips here in our UK factory (we also stock two types of the pliers to go with them), interested to know more? Click here
Please Note
